5 of the 7 Greatest Blunders of the World

The BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico ranks at this time as the number three worst man made disaster ever and at the rate it is going, it will soon be in second place and contending for first.

There are many huge man made disasters, but some stand out more than others like these five.

Missed opportunity, AIDS pandemic

There was a time when AIDS was considered “the homosexual disease” (1982) and a “punishment from God” for a sodomite lifestyle according to Jerry Falwell and Jimmy Swaggart. This rant was promulgated by fundamentalist religious leaders and escalated an anti-gay fervor that resulted in battlefield casualties amongst the gay population up to this day. In all practicality, the gays of North America are lumped in with the El-Quida, Muslims and socialists, all of whom certain Christians war against. As a result, research was actually discouraged, because to interfere would be to acknowledge immorality in opposition to the will of God, allowing the scourge to gain a foothold and accomplish a strong presence. To accept this dogma as “God’s own truth” is to believe that homosexuality is a worse crime than genocide due to engineered famine and manufacturing Armageddon. Now we stand to witness the total annihilation of some African peoples by 2011 and the rest of the continent to follow soon after. After this, is the rest of the planet. Bear in mind that most people infected by AIDS are not homosexual!

We have reached the point where most people are no longer required to keep civilization going with the existence of sophisticated robotics, automated transit and electronic networks. Instead of an asset, most poor people are now regarded as a liability and are targeted for "retirement". Exploration into methods where this can be achieved as efficiently as possible and without a high profile are being developed. The AIDS plague as suggested by some such as detailed in "Aids Ebola and Emerging Viruses" by Dr. Horowitz and Covert Action Magazine, is a manufactured plague with the intent to eliminate targeted populations. So far the plague has succeeded in collapsing some African countries by eliminating the working population but leaving only children and elders to starve to death. More are in eminent danger, despite the fact that treatments exist to control AIDS, but due to the profit motive, "there is no market" for the treatments because of all pervasive poverty maintained under the point of a gun in neo-aparthied societies where the natives are worked as virtual or actual slaves while the "owners" gain from all the generated wealth by gold, diamonds, oil or cash crops. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, erstwhile post collapse entrepreneurs were running air shipments of resources out of Africa and shipping munitions and weapons in that were distributed to various warring tribes and parties that were encouraged into warfare. The result is more die from war and a plague that can be controlled almost to the point of elimination. But these treatments are only for those can afford them. Meanwhile, war persists and Africa drifts toward being a nation of Genocides.

Biological weapons have a long history from the catapulting of dead plague victims over castle walls in the feudal era, to the deliberate infection of First Nations with tuberculosis, influenza and smallpox, to the use of experimental new terrors such as AIDS/HIV on target populations to the use of anthrax, the planned tragedy has been immense. There are instances where Nazis used biological experiments. Japan attempted to bombard the Americas with biological weapons in balloons. The US used biological agents in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan and even against their own troops. In the final, analysis, the rulers of the world see everyone else as expendable. This is proven in troops trained for suicide missions whether voluntarily of "volunteered" without their prior knowledge. Biological warfare has been and will be used and when the big pandemic ensues, you will know two things. There is a cure or vaccine to protect the rulers, their families and support people. The disease, like swine flu will be deliberately spread. Swine flu (H1N1) is an experiment to gather knowledge about spread and speed of infection. There will be too few or no shots for most people because it will be a new type of infection; much deadlier, unknown by the medical community, but not unknown to the elite. The H1N1 campaign failed due to a lack of vaccine! The new virus, to be “successful” will be a level four type contagion like tuberculosis; spread by merely being in the vicinity of the infection. It will spread rapidly and hundreds of millions now homeless, hungry and malnourished will be the first to die at nearly 100 percent. A deliberately weakened economy will assist the spread of the disease that will threaten almost everyone alive at the time.

Kuwait oil fires

Global capitalism is incapable of preserving and maintaining an ecological balance and a “green Earth” by its own inherent fault of profit gathering. It contains the seed of its own demise, and all else if permitted to continue to the destruction of Earth itself! Couple war with planned obsolescence and we have the example of the 1991 Kuwait oil fires that destroyed much in natural resources and created a local industrial winter in the region as more than 500 oil wells burned for almost a year, blackening the skies and poisoning the local environment. There is lots of political accusation as to who set them, but the destruction of resources and environment and manipulation of oil prices were the result. Environmental impacts were global with a significant increase in carbon greenhouse gases in 1991 and people reeled from price increases on everything as oil, or the lack thereof, determines the extent of capitalist profit. Since then the earth has experienced a run of the hottest years on record. This spill was far worse than every other spill combined including the 2010 gulf oil spill. The gulf oils pill occurred only because of deregulation and the lack of an automatic shut off valve usually installed in event that the worst should happened.

Pollution is the by product of capitalist mode of production that seeks maximum profit with minimal expense. Warfare is perhaps one of the worst polluters going, especially when we see the likes of nuclear testing than the Kuwait oil fires of 1991. Pollution is endemic in every field of capitalist endeavor. Although there are rigorous laws in first world nations to control pollution due to reformist policies, free trade laws allow development in third world nations with little or no control on pollution due to development and extraction of raw resources. In Ecuador, oil extraction means pollution of the surrounding land that has a direct negative result on the health of the indigenous aboriginals who live, hunt and gather near refineries. In Angola, the same types of conditions exist. Angola, despite its natural wealth, is one of the poorest countries in Africa simply due to greed of oil magnates. The poor hunt, gather and fish as from ancient times. The wealth goes to a handful of people while 90 percent of the people live in abject poverty and squalor. Pollution is created with virtually no control, spreading disease and toxicity to the people and nature; the only thing that trickles down. In Angola, the oil being extracted and refined is protected by razor wire and land mines behind fences to keep the people out. This is direct proof of a war that the bourgeoisie has always fought against the world's people. Though a handful of measures are implemented to make the oil robber barons look good, deeper digging finds that people work for food, just like in war torn Iraq. Education is designed to make people compliant. The countryside is littered with the smashed implements of war and towns are in bullet and bomb riddled ruin due to government-rebel wars. The bourgeoisie has an unpublicized trade going in Africa; raw resources out and weapons of war in. In fact, when 12 ecologists protested against Shell Oil for their pollution of fishing waters in Nigeria they were captured, framed on criminal charges and hung. This fact of greedy exploitation is also found in gold, diamond and heavy metal mines in Africa as well as elsewhere in the world. Economic apartheid is still alive and well in much of Africa despite the so called abolition of apartheid in the political arena. New additions to the bourgeois consumerist capitalist society only add to the woes. Yet means exist to run civilization with a minimum of pollution, but this is too costly for capitalists. The recent April. 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has turned out to be the greatest single environmental disaster in US history, but not the greatest in the world; yet.

Chernobyl melt down

The Chernobyl nuclear accident in the former Soviet Union was not the first nuclear accident, nor is it likely to be the last. Chernobyl stands out as one of the worst nuclear accidents that ever occurred. It also stands as one of the worst environmental disasters of our time, rendering a large area of the fertile growing areas of Russia Ukraine uninhabitable and unusable. Chernobyl ought to be a wake up call about the suitability of using fission of heavy radioactive elements as a source of electrical energy when so many other options exist.

In the beginning, the Soviet government kept quite about the disaster. The fact that something was dreadfully wrong was noted in Sweden when a radioactive cloud was detected at one of their own nuclear plant when a radiation monitor detected a radiation leak. Thinking it was their own problem; they checked it out and found it to be coming from an outside source, spreading over their territories. The news flashed around the world and the Soviets were forced to disclose what had occurred.

Many people refused to be relocated, preferring to remain in the area where they had farms and had grown up. Most were relocated with the result that several towns and cities became ghost towns virtually over night. They remained that way for over a decade. Meanwhile, the Soviets had a major problem with a, molten mass of radioactive elements burning its way into the ground and continuing to spew out radioactive dust.

Internal corruption concerning the suitability of the steam turbine back in 1983 helped to contribute to the accident. Payoffs and quick scheduling ensured that a faulty turbine was installed that was to have dire consequences down the road.

The whole thing began when an experiment was scheduled to test a new electrical monitoring system. An unexpected power failure elsewhere forced the abandonment of the experiment now underway. By the time the graveyard shift arrived, there was considerable confusion. Conflicting instruction created a situation where a run away reaction occurred. The safety control rods had been partly removed from the reactor allowing for an uncontrolled chain reaction in that part of the reactor without the control rods. The automatic control system that normally would have shut down the reactor had itself been shut down.

At 1:23:04 am. when the experiment began, the unstable condition was unknown to the reactor operators. The steam to the turbines was shut off. Lack of steam meant that cool water was not pumped through the reactor. Stagnant water began to boil and steam voids were created. As the rods were not fully removed, the heat did not reach the cooling water. There was a resulting massive steam build-up and neutron generation increased. With the manual and automatic neutron absorbing control rods removed, nothing prevented a runaway reaction.

From here, the situation rapidly deteriorated. The 2,000 ton lid was blown off the reactor. Water on the floor in contact with molten reactor material caused the water to be reduced to oxygen and hydrogen, resulting in a second explosion when the massive build up of hydrogen ignited. Burning lumps of molten reactor material and sparks shot above the reactor into the air. The control rods had also blown out allowing the atmosphere to come in contact with the naked melting core remains. A graphite fire started, which added to the problem by injecting radioactive dust into the air from its combustion. The remains of the reactor roof, covered with bitumen, also caught fire and added to the problem.

Despite evidence strewn about the outside of the reactor, some thought that the reactor was still intact due to low readings on the meters. An attempt was made to flood the new melting core with water by the staff. Most of them died of radiation exposure in weeks. So too did the firemen who showed up later in the morning and made a similar attempt to cool the melt down. The firemen were told it was an electrical fire, which exposed them to lethal doses of intense ionizing radiation. The fire inside Reactor No. 4 continued to burn until 10 May 1986. It is possible that well over half of the graphite burned out. The fire was extinguished by a combined effort of helicopters dropping over 5,000 tonnes of materials like sand, lead, clay and boron onto the burning reactor and injection of liquid nitrogen. Ukrainian filmmaker Vladimir Shevchenko captured film footage of a MI-8 helicopter as it lost its bearings while dropping its load and got its rotors tangled in the gibbets of a nearby construction crane, causing the wrecked copter to fall into the damaged reactor building and killing its two-man crew almost instantly.

The explosion and fire threw particles of the nuclear fuel and also far more dangerous radioactive elements like cesium 137, iodine 131, strontium 90 and other radio nuclides into the air: the residents of the surrounding area observed the radioactive cloud on the night of the explosion. This cloud drifted on the prevailing winds and was detected in Sweden.

The molten remains that had burrowed into the ground were "contained" by burying them in a thick concrete sarcophagus. The elements under there will remain radioactive for a very long time. People working on the burying could only work for 40 seconds before receiving the maximum allowable damage from radiation. It took a huge crew to bury the melt down remains.

The radiation including an exotic mix of radioactive isotopes was spread into the surrounding city, forests, farms, soil and watershed. 20 years after the accident, many of these areas are still highly radioactive. Though some people remained behind, they were told not to eat their own produce. They did anyway. Many children developed radiation related illnesses such as leukemia.

The Chernobyl disaster serves to remind us of the dangers of nuclear power plants. There has been a nuclear accident almost annually from the days of the first experiments at White Sands and Chalk River in 1945 and 1952 respectively.

Bhopol India

Developing countries of the world are particularly vulnerable to industrial crises simply because there is no regulatory device or organization in place to monitor the potential for such incidents. Industrial accidents such as Bhopal are not just an Indian, or even a Third World problem, but are representative of industrial disasters waiting to happen anywhere including at home, whether they are in the form of small “Bhopals” or smaller industrial accidents that occur with disturbing frequency in chemical plants in both developed and developing countries. There are also slow-motion “Bhopals”, causing unseen chronic poisoning from industrial pollution that causes irreversible pain, suffering, and death. These are the key issues we face in a world where toxins are used and developed without fully knowing the harm that can come from their use or abuse.

Until 1979, the Indian subsidiary of Carbide used to import MIC or methyl isocyanate from the parent company. After 1979, it started to manufacture its own MIC. MIC is one of many "intermediates" used in pesticide production and is a dangerous chemical. It is a little lighter than water but twice as heavy as air, meaning that when it escapes into the atmosphere it remains close to the ground. It has the ability to react with many substances: water acids, metals, and the small deposits of corrosive materials that accumulate in pipes, tanks, and valves. The MIC in Bhopal was used for the production of various pesticides, mainly Sevin brand carbaryl insecticide and Temik brand aldicarb pesticide. All the pesticides produced at UCIL were sold in the Indian market.

According to many, Bhopal is the site of the greatest industrial disaster in history. On the night of December 23, 1984, a dangerous chemical reaction occurred in the Union Carbide factory when a large amount of water got into the MIC storage tank # 610. The leak was first detected by workers about 11:30 p.m. when their eyes began to tear and burn. They informed their supervisor who failed to take action until it was too late. In that time, a large amount, about 40 tons of Methyl Isocyanate (MIC), poured out of the tank for nearly two hours and escaped into the air, spreading within eight kilometers downwind, over the city of nearly 900,000. Thousands of people were killed with estimates ranging as high as 4,000 in their sleep or as they fled in terror, and hundreds of thousands remain injured or affected. It is estimated that the injured range as high as 400,000 to this day. The most seriously affected areas were the densely populated shanty towns immediately surrounding the plant, Jayaprakash Nagar, Kazi Camp, Chola Kenchi, and the Railway Colony. The victims were almost entirely the poorest members of the population.

This poisonous gas, caused death and left the survivors with lingering disability and diseases. Not much is known about the future medical damage of MIC, but according to an international medical commission, the victims suffer from serious health problems that are being misdiagnosed or ignored by local doctors. Recent information indicates that deformed babies are being born to those who were poisoned but survived the leak. Thus, the poison is being passed on to following generations, particularity among the young having their first children. A judgment came down against seven Bhopol pesticide chemical factory workers today (June 7th, 2010), after 25 years of death, misery and suffering that resulted when a leak in a pesticide factory occurred near Christmas of 1984. People in the area that survived after thousands died, are still suffering and children are still being deformed, even though the plant was closed after the disaster. Many feel that justice was not served when seven workers got two year jail terms for the disaster that resulted from mismanagement and carelessness. But at the heart of all of it from that day to this, is capitalism and the drive to make ever more profit.

The BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. ” Revelation 16:3

The reference to the blood of a dead man is to state that the sea will become black and putrid, which is what is happening with all the oil gushing out. It is now killing sea life, birds and coastal wet lands not including the economy of the region. On top of this, eleven workers died in the blast, literally adding their dead blood to the waters.

The continuing leaking of massive amounts of oil into the Gulf of Mexico is now washing up in the shoreline wetlands of the southern states of the US. To date, this is the worst oil spill, second only to the deliberately destroyed 500 plus oil wells blasted and set ablaze in Kuwait in 1991 that had global impact on the weather several years after. That war time effort took almost a year to bring to a halt. So far, the spill in the Gulf of Mexico has been spilling oil for just over a month with no end in sight as one attempt after another to stop it fails. The only “blessing”, if it can be called that, is that we are not yet in hurricane season, but the race to contain the leak ans stop it is a race against an uncertain clock. The current ecological disaster began when an exploratory rig exploded when an “oil gusher” was struck and ended in a blowout. Since then, the broken submerged tap has been pouring out oil into the sea, harming all wildlife that comes into contact with it and ruining all fishing in a wide region. Barack Obama has subsequently ordered BP (British Petroleum) to cover the cost of clean up and also to pay the equivalent of unemployment benefits to all who have been negatively impacted by the spill, which is a large number of people. The spill could conceivably bankrupt BP, but the costs are going to have to be enforced and BP is a significant contributor to the US political system. On that issue alone, it remains to be seen if BP will ante up. A brief history of events has already been covered.

“On April 20, 2010, a semi-submersible exploratory offshore drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded after a blowout and sank two days later, taking with it eleven lives and causing a massive oil spill threatening the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. The rig is owned and operated by Transocean Ltd on behalf of BP, which is the majority owner of the oil field. The company originally estimated the size of the leak at about 1,000 barrels a day but later accepted government estimates of a leak of at least 5,000 barrels a day. On April 30, BP stated that it would harness all of its resources to battle the oil spill, spending $7 million a day with its partners to try to contain the disaster. In comparison BP's 1st quarter profits for 2010 were roughly $61M daily. BP was running the well without a remote control shut-off switch used in two other major oil-producing nations, Brazil and Norway, as a last resort protection against underwater spills. The use of such devices is not mandated by U.S. regulators. The U.S. Government gave the responsibility of the incident to BP and will hold it accountable for costs incurred in containing the situation. On May 11, 2010, Congress called the executives of BP, Transocean, and Halliburton to a hearing regarding the oil spill. When probed for answers regarding the events leading up to the explosion, each company blamed the other. BP blamed Transocean who owned the rig, who then blamed the operators of the rig, BP. They also blamed Halliburton, who built the well casing. Scientists have been requesting the right to monitor the amount of oil that is actually being released per day, but "'The answer is no to that,' a BP spokesman, Tom Mueller, said on Saturday, May 15. 'We’re not going to take any extra efforts now to calculate flow there at this point. It’s not relevant to the response effort, and it might even detract from the response effort.' Steven Wereley, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue University, analyzed videotape of the leak using particle image velocimetry and estimated oil flow rates at between 56,000 barrels to 84,000 barrels per day, or equivalent to one Exxon Valdez spill every 2.4 to 3.5 days. A second, smaller leak has been estimated to be releasing 25,000 barrels per day by itself, suggesting that the total size of the leak may well be in excess of 100,000 barrels per day and could possibly be one of the largest oil spills in history and the worst man-made disaster recorded.”

The admission that there are no regulations by the US to have automatic shut off valves installed makes the Obama government equally responsible for the disaster as such things were deregulated decades ago under the Reagan administration in a cost cutting measure for the oil bosses. The US is the only region in the world where such safety measures have been removed to boost profits. Meanwhile, as CEOs and government haggle it out as to who is to ultimately blame in all this, more and more oil gushes out, washes ashore despite miserable contaminant strategies and the hurricane seasons looms.

We have analyzed this kind of thing in “Revolution and Real Ecological Balance” written in 2006 by stating;

“...anything that promotes profit will be pursued with a vengeance. Historically this meant mechanization, lowering wages, ignoring safety and health questions, destruction of surpluses and warfare. Much of this continues today..... Capitalism is incapable of preserving and maintaining an ecological balance and a “green Earth” by its own inherent fault of profit gathering. It contains the seed of its own demise, and all else if permitted to continue to the destruction of Earth itself! Couple war with planned obsolescence and we have the example of the 1991 Kuwait oil fires that destroyed much in natural resources and created a local “industrial” winter in the region as more than 500 oil wells burned for almost a year. There is lots of political accusation as to who set them, but the destruction of resources and environment and manipulation of oil prices were the result. Environmental impacts were global with a significant increase in carbon greenhouse gases in 1991 (and a subsequent run on hot weather) and people reeled from price increases on everything as oil, or the lack thereof, determines the extent of capitalist profit.”

Meanwhile, Obama is “getting impatient” as a public relations gesture that is hoped to obscure the real issues still unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico.

BP Oil Spill Update

At approximately 9:45 p.m. CDT on April 20, 2010, methane gas from the well under high pressure shot up and out of the drill column marine riser, expanded onto the platform, and then ignited and exploded. After this, everything went wrong. 11 people died and the oil rig eventually collapsed and broke the riser near the sea floor that started the most massive sea leak of oil in history, flowing at the rate of a million plus gallons a day. (1) Many smaller ones like the Exxon Valdes were precursors and warnings of things to come. The Gulf of Mexico had another leak a decade earlier close to the Mexican coast, but did not leak as much before it was stopped. Only one larger event exists so far and that is the 1991 Kuwait oil fires that were deliberately set, but these did not directly affect the oceans. The BP oil spill threatens the entire ecosystem of not only the Gulf of Mexico, but the entire Atlantic Ocean when it spills into the Gulf Stream. As of June 14th, 2010, some oil was seen off the east coast of Florida near Ft. Lauderdale. (2) Estimates about the spread to Europe based on June 14th, 2010, is for the beginning of the end by August 26th, 2010. If the oil was stopped now, the damage would take a century to recover. If not and it continues to leak, all the oceans would be ruined in a few years. This will totally eliminate all food sources from there and likely a huge loss of species both in the water and air. Oil will, as it has already, be lofted into the air to rain on the land and ruin things there too.

BP has been on a campaign to downplay what they have done, using a chemical dispersant called corexit and stopping media from approaching the area. There is also news of large numbers of people being forcibly migrated inland away from the coast to FEMA camps. BP hired security is keeping everyone away from the coast so that no one can see the real extent of the damage, but this has already been exposed. People claim that they can smell the oil 300 miles inland and that's really hard to hide. Once more, capitalist representatives are targeting the people for the crimes they have committed. By now, millions of lives and ways of making a living have been ruined and BP is slow on giving any financial support despite Obama's insistence. This is now threatening the entire Atlantic with a gusher that is releasing some 125,000 - 45 gallon barrels (5,625,000 gallons) a day. BP is considering the use of a nuclear device, but they are going to have to get the US military industrial complex's permission on this. If they do, this will give us a tremendous revelation concerning capitalist connections.

BP CEO, Tony Hayward Fiddles While the Gulf Burns

the CEO of BP, Tony Hayward was seen golfing and yachting in Britain, shortly after receiving criticism and apologies in a US hearing committee in regard to lack of safety standards on BP oil rigs and the lack of real progress on the oil spill, still dumping anywhere from 40,000 to a 2.5 million gallons of oil, depending on who you listen to. Most people regard this action as at least equivalent to Caesar Nero's fiddling while Rome burned or Marie Antoinette's fancy diamond necklace bought from the public purse just before the French Revolution. The oil leak is still burning underwater and at controlled burns on the surface. The rest is either being dispersed with a chemical agent deep in the ocean to hide the full extent of the leak, or is winding up on shores, in wetlands, on wildlife, in fish and is driving life away from the spill region that has now expanded into the Atlantic. This golfing and yachting foray is seen as the height of the lack of concern and his real attitude as millions now suffer the effects of the spill.

The revelations of the lack of safety on the rig reads like a whose who of cheap shots put together by cost cutting group consortium of minimum bidders. Cutting corners lead to the initial disaster that is continuing with the spill. By now, so many livelihoods have been ruined that it is impossible for BP or other capitalists like Haliburton to ever to be able to pay in total. $20 billion has been pledged as a form of unemployment insurance, but the damage is already far greater than that. It is likely that most people will be left without any compensation.

Destruction of all plants and wild birds has southeastern US farmers very concerned. All through the mid-south farms, all plants, trees, grass, agricultural produce (organic and traditional) and weeds have suddenly developed white chemical burn through spots. This occurring near the Shelby and Tipton county boarder, along the Mississippi corridor. This is affecting the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana at this point with various affects. Texas and Florida have both reported “oil rains”. Oil slicks have been seen off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale.

Oily Rain in Central Texas

“We collect rain water. Today when it rained, this was the first time we saw discoloured dark amber coloured rain. It was a bit sudsy too. It also had a crude oil like smell. It was nasty. We have pictures, but we're afraid to post them.” This was reported on the 29th, of May of 2010 and captured by the internet server Phoenix. “This is not normal. I have no idea what was in the rain collected earlier, but I know we have never seen anything like this before. We've been collecting rain water for many years due to droughts in our area in the last couple of years. The consistency was very watered down. It smelled like oil. We're not sure if it was oil.” The report from Texas goes on. "Dispersant may evaporate with water and retain some compounds of oil which would give it the colour. The soapiness could be the solvents used." A watch among rural people was established to monitor the ongoing situation.

Meanwhile; a report surfaced that contains predictions we made for the US concerning this ongoing spill.

Toxic Oil Spill Rains Warned Could Destroy North America

“Corexit 9500 molecules will be able to "phase transition" from their present liquid to a gaseous state allowing them to be absorbed into clouds and allowing their release as "toxic rain" upon all of Eastern North America contaminating water & food supply etc...

“A dire report prepared for President Medvedev by Russia's Ministry of Natural Resources is warning today that the British Petroleum (BP) oil and gas leak in the Gulf of Mexico is about to become the worst environmental catastrophe in all of human history threatening the entire eastern half of the North American continent with "total destruction". Russian scientists are basing their apocalyptic destruction assessment due to BP's use of millions of gallons of the chemical dispersal agent known as Corexit 9500 which is being pumped directly into the leak of this wellhead over a mile under the Gulf of Mexico waters and designed, this report says, to keep hidden from the American public the full, and tragic, extent of this leak that is now estimated to be over 2.9 million gallons a day.

Scientists Warn Gulf Of Mexico Sea Floor Fractured "Beyond Repair" By: Sorcha Faal

“A dire report circulating in the Kremlin today that was prepared for Prime Minister Putin by Anatoly Sagalevich of Russia's Shirshov Institute of Oceanology warns that the Gulf of Mexico sea floor has been fractured "beyond all repair" and our World should begin preparing for an ecological disaster "beyond comprehension" unless "extraordinary measures" are undertaken to stop the massive flow of oil into our Planet's eleventh largest body of water. Most important to note about Sagalevich's warning is that he and his fellow scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences are the only human beings to have actually been to the Gulf of Mexico oil leak site after their being called to the disaster scene by British oil giant BP shortly after the April 22nd sinking of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform.

BP's calling on Sagalevich after this catastrophe began is due to his being the holder of the World's record for the deepest freshwater dive and his expertise with Russia's two Deep Submergence Vehicles MIR 1 and MIR 2, which are able to take their crews to the depth of 6,000 meters (19,685 ft). According to Sagalevich's report, the oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico is not just coming from the 22 inch well bore site being shown on American television, but from at least 18 other sites on the "fractured seafloor" with the largest being nearly 11 kilometers (7 miles) from where the Deepwater Horizon sank and is spewing into these precious waters an estimated 2 million gallons of oil a day. Interesting to note in this report is Sagalevich stating that he and the other Russian scientists were required by the United States to sign documents forbidding them to report their findings to either the American public or media, and which they had to do in order to legally operate in US territorial waters.

However, Sagalevich says that he and the other scientists gave nearly hourly updates to both US government and BP officials about what they were seeing on the sea floor, including the US Senator from their State of Florida Bill Nelson who after one such briefing stated to the MSNBC news service "Andrea we're looking into something new right now, that there's reports of oil that's seeping up from the seabed... which would indicate, if that's true, that the well casing itself is actually pierced... underneath the seabed. So, you know, the problems could be just enormous with what we're facing."

Though not directly stated in Sagalevich's report, Russian scientists findings on the true state of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster are beyond doubt being leaked to his longtime friend, and former US President George W. Bush's top energy adviser Matthew Simmons, who US media reports state has openly said: "Matthew Simmons is sticking by his story that there's another giant leak in the Gulf of Mexico blowing massive amounts of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. On CNBC's Fast Money, he says he'd be surprised if BP lasted this summer, saying this is disaster is entirely BP's fault."

If the foregoing is not sufficient to condemn capitalist practices outright, then we don't know squat! If we didn't know better, then we would be forced to concede that groups like Prisonplanet.com and Infowars.com are totally right in their analysis with their paranoiac speculations in regards to their “Endgame” DVD. We say that the BP spill was an accident caused by negligence due to cost cutting measures and lack of disaster management training, which is normal for capitalist modes of production. In addition, there was a report of a problem three weeks before the explosion that was simply ignored. As for the results, well, capitalism has an abysmal track record for cleaning up any of the messes they create. With all the planned obsolescence that is driving the current consumerist phase of production for profit, it is little wonder to us that the planet has devolved to a toxic wasteland everywhere. On top of this is the warring activities that massively contribute to world pollution. The situation is indeed dire and the day late. To avert total disaster is going to take the combined efforts or the world's proletariat to stop it by establishing the world wide dictatorship of the proletariat in a planned economy/

BP CEO Exonerated of Crimes Against Nature and Humanity

US President, Barack Obama met with British Prime Minister David Cameron today at the Group of 8 sub-meeting at the Group of 20 meeting in Toronto. Reuters reports that “Obama and Cameron made some progress toward settling their transatlantic disputes. They agreed nothing was to be gained from damaging BP over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill that has spawned an environmental disaster."

Evidently, BP is a corporation that is too big to fail and will be bailed out despite ruining the lives of tens of millions and perhaps even hundreds of millions once the massive spill ruins the entire Atlantic Ocean for any use for a century. All of this is going on because of the Reagan era of deregulation and voodoo economics. BP and its boss have been exonerated of any crime; yes you read it right; EXHONERATED! Meanwhile, people who were deliberately trapped en-masse, innocent and “guilty” alike are being terrorized and tortured by the police with tear gas, green lasers, sound cannon, rubber bullets and batons swinging and felling men and women from behind like a scene from the Rodney King incident, in the dark of the night that mainstream media have voluntarily self redacted.

Instead of telling the real truth, the whole apparatus of BP, the US government and law are now doing everything they can to hide it from our eyes and ears. A new bill creates a 65 meter zone of exclusion around any oil soaked birds, oil soaked booms, spill workers, soiled sand and anything else that is related to the oil spill. If found inside the zone, you can be fined $40,000, labelled as a “class 4 felon” and packed off to jail. Once there, you might end up on a prison work team that is designated to clean up the BP oil mess, demonstrating the the total irrationality of this law and of capitalism in general. One way or another, if you want to check out the extent of the damage, you will, but as a class 4 felon, you won't be able to tell anyone about it. It turns out that the US government wants to hide the truth on all the failures and the ever expanding extent of the mess. As more and more oil leaks into the Atlantic and hurricane season is upon us early, we are to be left ignorant on pain of criminalization if you reveal the true extent of this ongoing disaster created by exonerated mega-criminals. Worse, during the G8-G20 summit, Obama's exoneration of the BP criminal, the Toronto police protected this kind of activity by a police created diversionary tactic of the “black bloc” anarchist that acted out a provocative show and allowed mass arrests of peaceful protesters, stripping away all of our civil rights in the process.
